We had the pleasure of getting married here in June 2025 and I cannot recommend Château Barayre enough! From our first visit we fell immediately in love with the location and Rachna and Jaap were so laid back and easy to work with throughout the whole process. It is such a stunning place with real character in a wonderful part of France.
Coming from the UK we opted for the Complete package which really took the stress of organising from abroad out of the equation. From the very start of the planning process, they provided fantastic recommendations of local suppliers, event suggestions based off their previous experiences all in a relaxed and informative manner. We were thrilled with our recommended celebrant Michelle and Claire who did our Wedding breakfast to name just a couple. Our wedding weekend was a huge success with a large part of this down to the hard work and flexibility of the team led by Rachna and Jaap.
Starting with the welcome drinks and pizzas on the Friday, the wedding day breakfast, late night snacks to hosting a pool party and BBQ on the Sunday! All of our guests commented on how great the food was throughout and a special mention to Jaap for hosting a large party for wine tasting on the Sunday, showcasing local natural wines.
If you are looking for a special place with lots of rustic charm surrounded by beautiful nature and warm and welcoming hosts, this is the place!

We had our wedding here this year and the place is stunning, the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed and all the recommendations we received in terms of catering etc. were absolutely perfect!
So if you are looking for wedding place with good vibes in beautiful surroundings and with great service then I would definitely recommend this place!

We had our wedding at Chateau Barayre in June 2024 and we could not have wished for a venue more beautiful and full of love. It is the most romantic castle in the beautiful French countryside run by a wonderful family. Rachna and Jaap made our wedding weekend the laid back and relaxing weekend we had always wanted and we are still reliving the memories. A beautiful backdrop surrounded by beautiful people, we could not recommend more!

We had our Destination Wedding here in July 2023. It was a truly incredible, magical weekend with all our closest friends and family. Rashna and Jaap made us feel welcome and at ease from the moment we arrived and the property was just immaculate!
This was the perfect venue for our small, intimate wedding of 40 guests. Their hospitality was superb and the food was delicious!! Especially the Pizza Party! The barn is a huge highlight of the Chateau and every guest commented how beautiful it was. Rashna and Jaap were very engaging with all our guests, including those not staying at the Chateau. They provided a complimentary wine tasting for all our guests along with an optional tour of the Castle, learning the history it holds. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect location for this special occasion, located in the 'Tuscany' of France with the rolling hills, vineyards and sunflower fields. The chateau was extremely spacious, could cater for families including young children and the Bridal suite was princess moment! Thanks to Rashna and Jaap and their team, our wedding day holds only the happiest of memories and a weekend ourselves and our guests will never forget. We wish Rashna and Jaap all the best and cannot wait to return one day!

We had our wedding at Château Barayre in Aug 24, and it was absolutely amazing! Jaap and Rachna went above and beyond for us - nothing was too much trouble. From day one, they kept in touch, making everything so smooth leading up to the big day.
We chose the four-day package, which was perfect for us and our guests to unwind and spend quality time together. The outdoor setting for our ceremony was breathtaking, and we felt so at ease with all their thoughtful details.
Claire’s wedding breakfast was a highlight! We got to taste the menu beforehand, and every meal was delicious - from pastries to pizza night. We never had to worry about food!
It really felt like we were welcomed into Jaap and Rachna’s home. The vibe was relaxed, and they helped us find fantastic suppliers for everything from the celebrant to the band.
Looking back, choosing Château Barayre instead of a UK venue was the best decision we made. We wouldn’t change a thing! If you’re looking for a beautiful, stress-free wedding with a personal touch, we can’t recommend Château Barayre enough!

We vierden onze bruiloft begin juli in Château Barayre en het was fantastisch. De plek is magisch, charmant en poëtisch. We beleefden onze droombruiloft in een heel weekend. Jaap en Rachna, de eigenaren, zijn ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. Als ik het over zou moeten doen, zou ik niets veranderen. We hopen terug te keren om een paar dagen door te brengen op deze plek die ons zo dierbaar is.

Le château de Barayre est un lieu unique où nous avons eu le privilège de célébrer notre mariage pendant un weekend avec une centaine de convives. Rachna et Jaap forment une excellente équipe mêlant douceur, efficacité et énergie positive. Ils n'ont jamais manqué de trouver des solutions pour réaliser notre mariage de rêve :-) La maison + le château ont été rénovés cette année pour loger 26 convives, la grange également restaurée était parfaite pour danser, et la piscine avec vue sur les petits moutons du champs voisinant a ravi famille et amis en ce weekend de canicule. Enfin, nous avons eu un petit coup de cœur pour le jardin au milieu duquel trône un majestueux cèdre qui a suffi à lui seul à créer un cadre (et de l'ombre !) pour notre cérémonie d'engagement. A l'avenir, nous espérons pouvoir revenir à l'occasion de vacances pour revivre ces souvenirs et profiter de ce lieu féerique dans un autre contexte :-)

We had our wedding here in summer 2024. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
Our wedding was for 70 guests and had quite a lot of activities, food & drink across the complete weekend package with a few extras added on.
Living in the uk and organising a wedding of this complexity, cost and standard abroad can feel risky - do not fear, Jaap & Rachna are here! The planning process was thorough and detailed and suggestions made were super helpful. Recommendations for external providers such as celebrant and caterers were truly excellent. Any ideas we had were supported and included to make the weekend totally unique and very us!
The weekend itself was flawless, Jaap/Rachna and team worked incredibly hard to ensure everything went without a hitch (even when the rain showers came!). Guests had the most amazing time and many commented it was the best wedding they’d ever been to (I couldn’t possibly comment!). Several weeks on now and we still cannot believe how good it was - totally blown away. Go with Chateau Barayre - you won’t regret it!

We cannot thank Jaap and his wife Rachna enough for the incredible experience we had at Château Barayre. From the moment we began planning our wedding, their warmth, responsiveness, and attention to detail made us feel completely at ease—even from across the ocean. Being based in the States, we weren’t able to visit the château beforehand, but Jaap and Rachna’s constant communication and support made it feel like home long before we arrived.
Everything about our stay and wedding was thoughtfully curated, allowing my wife and me to be fully present and enjoy every moment. Rachna’s cooking is truly a gift—every meal was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. No one ever went hungry, and our guests are still raving about how amazing the food was.
From the moment our guests arrived to the moment they left, every detail had been carefully considered. We chose to have a live band during our reception and a DJ for our wedding party—both were fantastic and created the perfect atmosphere.
If we could rate our experience higher than 5 stars, we would—because 5 stars doesn’t begin to capture how truly special our week at Château Barayre was. We wholeheartedly recommend Jaap and Rachna’s beautiful château to anyone dreaming of a magical French countryside wedding. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they’d ever attended, and we couldn’t agree more.

We had our wedding here in July 2024. All I can say is WOW! From start to finish, the whole weekend was amazing, everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was and how well organised everything was. The photos of this venue do not do it justice and it did not disappoint. The owners Rachna & Jaap were great, they are such lovely people and were able to help whenever needed. We have the most beautiful photos of our wedding day, as the grounds were perfect. The food was delicious and all the vendors they recommended couldn’t have been more perfect. We have huge holiday blues after visiting Chateau Barayre, hopefully we can come back one day to enjoy a fabulous weekend again.

We had an excellent wedding reception weekend at Chateau Barayre! We were a group of 36 people and had a great time enjoying delicious food and drinks and the beautiful property. Rachna and Jaap did a great job coordinating with vendors and making sure the weekend ran smoothly. They were also good at hosting flexibly and keeping the pace of the events on track but relaxed.
