Chateau Barayre is a wonderful place for a relaxing holiday with a group of family or friends. We have two accommodations for groups of up to 14 people, both located in the castle. Enjoy the fantastic charm of the chateau, and - even on the hottest summer days - the coolness due to the over a meter thick walls, a fantastic park garden with various terraces, a relaxed swimming pool and a herb garden in the inner courtyard where you can perfectly catch the setting sun into the late hours of the evening.

Accomodation

The atmosphere of earlier centuries is present everywhere, shooting holes, thick walls, high rooms with huge wooden beams and a beautiful tower with a breathtaking view! We have complemented rich history with modern luxury ranging from extensive kitchen and WiFi to our own mini cinema. Both accommodations are very spacious and have their own unique outdoor spaces. The swimming pool, forecourt and the herb garden in the courtyard are shared. Here the children can play long hours with their holiday friends while you are enjoying a book and a good glass of wine.

Chateau Barayre is rented out as a ‘gite’, but it is possible to serve a full French breakfast, dinner or even half board. In summertime we organize a weekly evening with all our guests in which we serve and enjoy homemade crepes and savoury “galettes”. Our cellar is filled with a nice collection of regional nature wines. We are always happy to offer you a wine tasting in our own “cave”.

Gite du Pape Clement

A real 12th century castle, with tower rooms, shooting holes, stairs hidden in meters thick walls and princely large rooms. We have 14 beds in 5 rooms. A large 'gentlemen's room', kitchen and lovely terrace in the park garden will make you feel like a lord or maiden for a week.

Gite d'Aliénor

The “Gite d’Aliénor” is located in the north wing of the castle. It’s renovated as a wonderful rustically furnished house with a large sitting and dining room. The house has 12 beds in 6 rooms. Located on the park garden, the courtyard and with a lovely private veranda make it the perfect place to enjoy the French countryside.
