The first day in the program is enjoyed with your close friends and family that are staying with you in the castle. The collective programme starts Friday afternoon with a P’tit Cocktail de Bienvenue and continues to the end of your weekend.

DAY I - ARRIVAL DAY
Arrival of guests in the castle
Family dinner - Family and friends have arrived! Get together in easy going intimate night.
DAY 2 - THE GREAT MEET-UP
Breakfast - Relax and chat at long tables with a delicious French breakfast. Will you enjoy an easy morning in the garden, do some last preps for tomorrows speech or hit the road to visit of the marvellous medieval villages just around us?
Lunch - Enjoy a nice light lunch with sandwiches, salads and a Fresh vegetable soup grown in our own vegetable garden.
Relaxed afternoon - What’s being together than relaxing and enjoying an afternoon together? Take a dive in the pool, play some petanque or kick a ball in the garden.
Wine tasting - Did you know you are in one of the most diverse French wine regions? Our cellar is full with a fantastic collection of local nature wines. For those of you who are interested; we are happy to explain and taste together!
P'tit cocktail de bienvenue - Yes, all friends and family have arrived! The wedding couple welcomes everyone during a petite cocktail de bienvenue on the front garden of Chateau Barayre overlooking the fields in the shade of the trees. Cheers on a weekend never to forget with a fantastic summery cocktail!
Pizza evening - It's on; fresh pizzas are available until sunset freshly baked in the wood fired pizza-oven in our front garden.
DAY 3 - THE WEDDING DAY
Breakfast - A bit nervous? Once you start the day, the nerves will be away! So no time to loose :) It's going to be a long day, so better enjoy this full French breakast.
Dress-up time! - Yes, it's time for the dress. Enjoy this moment with your best-man and bridesmaids
Reception en petit commitee - Down the stairs, the groom and the guests await the bride for her arrival (oohw, ahh! so beautiful!)
Arrival of guests - Wow, it's not only the bride and groom looking smart! All guest are welcomed with croissants, chocolatines and savory cake to make sure nobody gets hungry over the ceremony.
Wedding cermony - The bride and groom arrive, while everyone is waiting in the beautiful church of Envals. Or do you prefer a ceremony under the 300 year old Ceder. The air is filled with love and beautiful vows and speeches. Who brings the rings?
Reception - It's official! Time for cake and champagne. The newly wed couple is greeted with impassioned speeches that echo through the inner courtyard while many photos are made. Don't forget to throw the wedding bouquet!
Time-out - Chill out in a hammock, organize a little petanque tournament, take a fresh shower or a dip in the pool to recharge for the evening program.
Wedding dinner - Enjoy a delicious feast, in shade of the trees at the foot of the castle, overlooking the fields.
Fête de mariage - Let the party begin! What will the opening dance be? Dance under the stars or make the barn your domain. Do you go for a DJ or a band? We wave goodbye to the couple to wish them a perfect wedding night!
DAY 4 - THE GREAT CHILL-OUT
Brunch - Relax on long tables with a delicious French breakfast and muse about the fantastic wedding celebration. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. After a long brunch and a refreshing dip in the pool, everyone goes back home (or on holidays!) with an unforgettable weekend in the pocket.

Since your friends and family are already around, we strongly encourage to start your wedding day early so all guests will be able to enjoy every part of the festivities and also your grandma makes it to the dancefloor!
Welcome evening
What a joy! Everybody has arrived! Do your guests already know each other? All family and friends are welcomed in a laid-back atmosphere. We serve tapas, followed by our own homemade pizzas and the tastiest possible dessert. No matter what time your guests arrive, they’ll all have a fresh meal from the buffet. Will everybody remember that only tomorrow will be the big day? What a night! And it has only just begun!
The Preps!
Definitely not the busiest moment for the boys, but even more so for the ladies — all to look their loveliest! Don't get nervous now; it's all going to be fine. It's your dearest friends and family that you'll be sharing these wonderful moments with. Behind the scenes, everything's under control.
It's good to take it easy, but too much time on your hands might start making you nervous. Our advice: start as soon as you can, because — "once you start the day, your nerves will melt away!"
The Ceremony
The moment that it’s all about! Will it be outside under the 300 year old Cedar tree or do you prefer your wedding in the small Roman church of Envals. It once belonged to the castle - not anymore - but it’s located just 80 meters from the castle!
The Reception
It's official! Celebrate your newly-sealed love with bubbles, cake and canapés in the garden. Will you be in the generous shade of the old Cedar tree with the castle and pond as your backdrop? Or in the inner-courtyards' colorful flower garden? Turn up the vibe with a band. Let the caterer surprise you with the best canapés, prepared in live ateliers. Be it the children enjoying themselves in and around their tipis or grandparents relaxing in lounge chairs, you'll all live the moment to the fullest.
The Dinner
Settle down in the shade of the Linden trees on the forecourt for an unforgettable feast. The backdrop couldn't possibly be better! Large wooden tables and vintage French wedding chairs provide a natural and rustic dinner setting. Make up your tables with fresh field bouquets in little vases, beautiful glasses, runners, and candles to set the mood. When night falls, little lamps hanging from the trees will provide a magical atmosphere. Bon appetit!
The Wedding Party!
Whether you'd like to sing songs around the fire pit, dance under the stars, or party the night away in the barn, it's on! In the Périgord, also spring and autumn evenings offer pleasant summery temperatures. Did you know that this region has the clearest skies in Europe? Don't forget to look up!
The Great Chill-out
Nothing more to worry about, only good memories to digest! Muse about yesterday's highlights while enjoying a lavish brunch. Is it time to say goodbye, or will you stay and enjoy the day to replenish and unwind around the pool? The usual program today? Floating in the pool, lawn games or a petanque tournament! Some might even be motivated to visit a local farmers' markets in one of the nearby medieval villages or go for a hike. A late-afternoon wine tasting — with local wines and cheeses! — is usually the perfect way to get everybody together again, to end the weekend on a high with a great summer evening dinner.
